Alagie Sosseh · Founder
Fifteen years, four countries
Born in 1986, Alagie Sosseh is a former Swedish-Gambian footballer who made his debut in the Swedish top flight for Hammarby in 2007. Across a fifteen-year career he played in Sweden, Norway, Iran and Turkey, for clubs including Hammarby, Landskrona BoIS, Syrianska FC, IK Brage and Mjøndalen.
He also represented the Gambia national team, making his debut in 2010. As a player he was known for his physical presence and his ability to hold up the ball — a reference point for the teams he played in.
His career was not without difficulty: injuries, and the demand of adapting to very different playing cultures in each country. That experience is precisely what he brings to the players he now represents — a realistic map of what a move abroad actually costs, and what it can be worth.
Since retiring he has stayed inside the game, passing on what he learned to the next generation. Gaïndé Sports is the formal shape of that work.
